internal consistency reliability

— The extent to which all items measure the same concept.

Full explanation:

Internal consistency reliability assesses the correlations between the items in a measure. The most commonly used indicator of internal consistency reliability is Cronbach alpha. A Cronbach alpha of .70 or above indicates that the items represent the same underlying construct. If responses to different items contradict one another the measure may be unreliable.

Measurement: Cronbach’s alpha (⍺)

Interpretation
: ⍺ > .70 or .80 = good internal consistency
